Heritage Fairs 2010

The Heritage Fairs program encourages students to explore Canadian heritage in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. Students use the medium of their choice to tell stories about Canadian heroes, legends, milestones, and achievements - and present the results of their research at a public exhibition.

Across Canada in the last school year:

  • more than 150,000 students worked on projects or participated in a Fair
  • communities representing all provinces and territories were involved
  • 1,500 schools hosted Fairs or participated in a Community or Regional Fair
  • 10,000 volunteers were involved in helping to deliver the program

The result is a community-based celebration of Canadian heritage that has a lasting impact on participants. Join us!
